Brenda's Dream is dedication to Brenda, the sister of Lydia Wiseman whose dream was to have a bed & breakfast.
Brenda having all sons was still a girls' girl. After the empty nest was complete, Brenda started research, planning and designing her dream. These plans were cut short on an Easter Sunday while serving dinner to her family. Her speech became slurred and could not be corrected. Six weeks later Brenda was diagnosed with a rare form of ALS. Losing the ability to communicate first did not deter the two sisters from continuing the work. Bi-weekly visits to consignment and antiques stores continued with the introduction of a cane, then a walker then into a wheel chair. Discussions and plans continued for a dream that would never come to fruition even after Brenda was admitted into a nursing home. Brenda left us 26 months after her original diagnosis, however her memory and dream are alive and well.
